About the event
As a Mental Health & Wellbeing Coach I have worked with a number of people in my professional and personal life who have struggled with anxiety.
Anxiety is a completely natural response which can show up in how we feel physically, mentally, and in how we behave, but it becomes a mental health issue when it starts to prevent us from functioning in our normal day to day life.
Research shows that the number of people in the UK suffering with anxiety, which is impacting their daily lives has increased significantly over the last decade.
However, not everyone seeks support and really understands what anxiety is and how they can find ways to overcome anxiousness.
The aims of this workshop are to help attendees gain some insights into what anxiety is and how it's completely normal for humans to experience.
Also how it gets out of control and becomes a mental health issue, so it's important to understand how everyones mental health fluctuates, and when to notice the signs that you need help.
We will explore what leads to anxiety and a variety of ways people can take to overcome anxious thoughts and feelings, as what works for one person will be different to another.
This workshop is suitable for you if:
- you are suffering with anxiety and want to understand it more, so you can help yourself to reduce the level of anxiety you feel, and know when to seek help from a professional; or
- you are worried about someone you know who is struggling with anxiety, so you can understand what they maybe going through and how you can provide compassionate support to them.
